Monday, July 13th

Another full day in Madrid included the following events: Retiro Park, Cathedral and Palace, Churros and Chocolate and San Ginés, and finally dinner at La Bardemcilla. Tomorrow we have a very full day as we tour both Avila and Segovia.

Sunday, July 12th

Reina Sofia museum in the morning, El Rastro in the middle of the day, lunch, and then The Prado museum in the afternoon. There are also pictures of the Plaza Mayor and Dinner at Casa Paco from Saturday.

Arrival in Madrid

We are here in Madrid and anxiously awaiting our steak dinner at Casa Paco, a Woodberry favorite for many, many years running. Here are some photos of our last days in Valencia where we had horchata and fartons and the famous Daniel's and our goodbye to Valencia dinner at Galeria.

Wednesday, June 8th

We had a very nice class this afternoon where we rented out a small restaurant and hired a wine and cheese team to teach us about how to pair artisan cheese with Valencian wines. We had a very nice Italian dinner at Cinque Lune. It will be hard to go back to Velveeta and Pizza Hut!

Tuesday, June7th

We had a law professor from the University of Valencia speak to the class about Spanish government and history. The boys asked some great questions and they impressed themselves and their teachers with their ability to fully understand his lecture. We headed to an area of Valencia that is full of Calatrava architecture and then to the aquarium, the largest in Europe.

Monday, July 6th

We had a fun 4th of July weekend- a trip to the mall for lasertag, all you can eat asian buffet and bowling. The next day we went to Peñiscola for the beach (notice the castle in the backround.)

Thursday, June 2

Here are some pictures on a couple of our activities the last few days. We had a very nice piano concert and explanation of famous Spanish composers. The restaurant is L'Estimat, in my opinion the best place to eat Paella. The other photo is from a night tour of medieval Valencia, with actors.
