Today, the guest teacher gave a literature class about a priest's poor job in the new world. He then took them to one of Seville's true gems, Hospital de la Caridad. There, the works of art are meant to teach people about the importance of charity. He combined these two works to make the boys think critically.

Hot Sevilla
It reached 103 degrees our first full day in Seville. The boys are settling in with their host families and learning the route to school. On the way they will pass many 16th century monuments from when Seville was Europes richest city, receiving most of the gold brought back from the Americas. They had their first set of classes, which included a teacher that explained how "pick-up" lines work in Spain.

Full day in Madrid
After picking up our luggage we headed to our hotel and were all able to check in, despite it being 8 in the morning. We headed for breakfast, then a walk through parts of Madrid, including Retiro Park, and then lunch at the classic El Brillante. We had a variety of dishes, most notably the very Madrid Bocadillo de calamares (fired calamari sandwich) and Patatas Bravas (french fries with a mildly spicy tomato sauce. The afternoon included a tour of Real Madrid's stadium and dinner at Casa Paco, a Woodberry favorite steak restaurant.
