Paella in the Albufera

We had a wonderful tour of the Albufera lake and park.  We then learned how to cook the traditional Valencian dish, paella.  It was hands-on and in a beautiful setting.

Valencia

Our high speed train from Seville pulled into Valencia last night.  Today we toured the famous food market El Mercat Central, probably the best in Europe.  A well respected chef took us around and explained the market culture and how he chooses his ingredients for his restaurant.  We then had lunch in his restaurant, Delicat.  Tonight we took a tour of the city that was acted out by a character from the Gothic period.

Aracena

Today we visited the town of Aracena, a center of Ibreian ham production.  The boys saw the famous Iberian pig in it's natural setting, a dehesa, and then were able to go into the cave under the hill of the town.
