After a safe arrival with a quick waffle stop in Brussels, we checked into our hotel and headed out for lunch. El Brillante is a classic spot for one of Madrid's most beloved sandwich, the calamari sub (bocadillo de calamares.) It also does a nice job with other tapas, as they were able to try high quality sardines, blood sausage, chistorra sausage, spicy fried potatoes, garlic shrimp and Manchego cheese.
Then a tour of Real Madrid's stadium and the great Prado museum. We ended the night with dinner at one of Madrid's most revered restaurants, Casa Paco, where Woodberry boys have enjoyed steaks for over 30 years.
