The arrival

 We had a clean travel day to Madrid with no issues.  After getting to the hotel we went through the always lengthy task of getting local cell phone.  After a few hours, we and the store hit a wall and they were unable to get us the last 5 phones we needed.  We will have to try again soon.  We had our three meals, with lunch being the oddly emblematic Madrid specialty sub... calamari.  We also had a variety of other classic dishes, all at the well known El Brillante restaurant.  Dinner was at Casa Paco, a very traditional Madrid steakhouse where the steaks come out very rare but sizzling on a very hot plate.  The boys also toured the Retiro Park with an option to continue to a Real Madrid stadium tour or take a quick nap.
