Triana

Today, after classes and the Hot Seat session, we headed across the river to Triana, home to the artisans and working class of Sevilla throughout much of its existence.  Triana was also were many believe to be the headquarters of the Spanish Inquisition.  Columbus hired Rodrigo de Triana (the first person to see land from his ships, in the second tapas bar we hit.  Many famous bullfighters and flamenco singers lived in Triana.  It has a strong neighborhood feel and it also houses many fine tapas restaurants.  We intertwined history with tapas by eating in 3 different restaurants.
