Last day in Valencia

The menu of cheeses

The confits:  onion, raspberry/vinegar, red pepper, black cherry and onion/Pedro Jimenez

We finished our Valencia portion with some odds and ends that we had yet to cover.  We toured La Lonja, which is a great symbol of when Valencia was the Mediterranean's richest port.  We then toured the cathedral and what is most likely the Holy Grail.  The b oys then climbed Michelet tower, drank Horchata with Fartons, and saw a fragment of the Roman layer beneath the city.  We returned in the evening for a fantastic wine, confit and cheese tasting with all Spanish cheeses (all very artesian) and all Valencian wines.  That was followed by a fine meal at a rising star restaurant, La Francesa del Carmen, which we have had great relations for many years.  It is just now getting the recognition it deserves with a #3 ranking in Trip Advisor.
