Cider House - last post of the year

 Today we visited the cider making region just outside of San Sebastián.  We saw a museum of cider and then ate the traditional cider house menu.

Jai Alai (Remonte)

 The boys got to try out a version of Jai Alai called remonte, and then see the opening of a summer remonte tournament.

Cooking Society and Hike to Pasajes

 Yesterday the boys had a cooking class in a unique setting, a private cooking society popular in Basque Country, where men gather to cook and eat in a sort of adult fraternity.

Today they hiked to Pasajes and visited a Basque ship building museum.

Guernica and Gaztelugatxe

 We visited a museum of peace in Guernica, the town that was bombed and was the subject of the famous Picasso mural.  We then did the sizable hike to the beautiful San Juan Gaztulgatxe.
