We had a great couple of visits to two fascinating places, with a delicious steak lunch at one of Andalusia's top restaurants, La Castillería. Vejer de la Frontera was a border town between Christian and Muslim Spain, changing hands several times. It is a lovely pueblo blanco built on a strategic hilltop. The boys then had beachtime at Trafalgar, the site of a turning point battle between the English and a combined French/Spanish navy.
A trick I learned many years ago was to start a tour that will have a good amount of walking is to start with a group breakfast, which in Andalusia is toast with tomato puree, olive oil and cured ham.
