Segovia

We did the last of our Madrid day excursion as we explored the many impressive historical sights in Segovia.  We started with the 1st century aqueduct and continued to the cathedral.  There we climbed its very tall tower for some impressive views.  Then it was off to the Alcazar (palace/fort) and its indicate architecture.  We ended with a specialty feast of cochinillo (roasted suckling pig) and some more homemade, regional desserts (poncho segoviano and torrijas.)  We had Mr. Cándido, the most respected master roaster of suckling pig, present the dish to us and part the pig with the traditional method of using a plate.

Today's museum was the Prado were they particularly enjoyed Goya's series of dark paintings.  We ended our last night here in Madrid at the famous San Gines for their renowned churros with chocolate.
