Scavenger hunt in Seville and Gastronomy class in Valencia

The boys were given a scavenger hunt for our last morning in Seville.  They worked in pairs and had a long list of tasks which involved taking pictures and videos with their smartphones.  We then said goodbyes to the host families and headed for the train station.  A high speed train made relatively short work of a long distance trip to Valencia.

Today we had a market tour with one of Valencia's best chefs, Jordi Morera.  Particularly interesting is when he opened up two fish of the same breed.  One from a fish farm and one wild caught.  As the pictures show, the farm fish is full of globs of fat while the wild caught is lean.  He gave us a complete tour of what is arguably Europe's best market.  We then went to his restaurant and did a tasting of olive oils, ham, cheese and conserved fish.  We left and then returned for a feast which featured several appetizers and a "meloso" which is a rice dish like a paella but with more broth.
