Futbol, Charity and Literature

The boys had a class with a sports journalist who taught them about soccer and how it works in Spain.  We then went to one of the true hidden gems of Europe, La Hospital de la Caridad.  It is full of works by Murillo and Leal that teach its congregation the importance of charity.  We then toured the Jewish quarter and learned a bit about Jewish history in Sevilla.  After winding through its narrow streets, which is full of small plazas and sites that many of the boys know from having watched Destinos and read Don Juan Tenorio, we headed to a classroom in an old palace to have a great literature class about the Spanish Reformation.  We then had a quick tour of the old tobacco which is now a University.
