Italica, grilled iberian pork, flamenco

The boys saw the ex-Roman city Italica, one of the most important Roman cities in Spain.  Birthplace of Trajan and home to Hadrian, the city has much to see though much of it lies under the current village of Santiponce.  The guide we hire each year for this is extremely knowledgeable about Roman culture and is able to bring it to life by all of us being there.  We then did what many Spaniards like to do on the weekend, go to the countryside and eat grilled meats.  We had a great cut of Iberian pork that the boys could not believe wasn't beef.  We then hit up our favorite Flamenco venue, La Casa de la Memoria, which is authentic and nothing like the dinner and show tourist trap.  The cantaora, female singer, will be our guest teacher this Tuesday.
